One buyer, eight recipients, one deadline
Groomsmen Gifts exists because grooms shop for a whole party at once, under a deadline, with no precedent — and the internet hands them a list of flasks.
Our mission
Groomsmen Gifts is a single-subject site about one purchase: the gift a groom hands the men standing beside him. It exists because groomsmen gifting has unusual mechanics — one buyer, five to eight recipients, a fixed deadline, engraving that has to be ordered ahead, and an etiquette everybody senses but nobody writes down.
Every guide here is a buying guide. We explain the categories, the party math, when each kind of gift is traditionally given, and how to choose something the party will still own after the tux goes back. We do not lab-test products, and you will never find an invented test result, price or star rating on this site.
The site is funded by Amazon affiliate links. They never decide what gets recommended, and they never change what you pay.
How we work
- Buying guides, not lab reviews. We explain how to choose — the category, the timing, what suits which party. We never claim to have tested a product we have not.
- Party math first. Nothing is judged as a single unit. Every recommendation is discussed as a decision multiplied by the size of the wedding party.
- No invented numbers. No made-up prices, star ratings, review counts or engraving turnaround times. Where a price appears it comes from live retailer data; otherwise we send you to check the listing yourself.
- Timing stated out loud. The ask, the rehearsal dinner and the morning of the wedding are three different moments. Every guide says which one it is written for.
- Affiliate transparency. We earn a commission when you buy through our Amazon links. It never changes what we recommend — the full disclosure explains exactly how it works.
The human behind it
Groomsmen Gifts is written and edited by Tom Abernathy, who has stood in several wedding parties and run two of them as best man. Corrections, etiquette disputes and toast-worthy stories all go through the contact page.
